Around the Sound: Ladies enjoy Bunco

The term “Bunco” may once have been associated with confidence swindles during the 40’s through the 60’s. It’s not usually used among law enforcement today.
This past Monday, at the Bair Store in Steilacoom a group of women enjoyed “Bunco”–a game that involves dice, aiming for a target number (one, three, six). Players gain one point for each die matching the target. If the player gets three-of-a-kind of the target number (a Bunco), they get 21 points. The round stops when a player at the head table obtains 21 points.
