Pierce Conservation District – Rain Barrel Presentation

The Pierce Conservation District is teaming up with Dan Borba of Natural Rainwater to host a booth at the Steilacoom Farmers Market on June 22nd.  Dan will have rain barrels available for purchase and will be taking orders, while answering people’s questions on rain barrels and rain water harvesting.

Rain barrels are an effective way to capture rain water from your roof and use it for watering your garden and plants.  It can also help prevent storm water pollution by diverting your downspout away from hard surfaces and the pollutants that accumulate there.  While at the market, you can learn about the Conservation District’s programs and opportunities to get involved in habitat and water quality projects.

The market, located at 1700 Lafayette St., runs from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. that day.
